41. Healthy, not expensive.

Most people believe foods that promote health are more expensive. It’s a myth. Cereal with fruit for breakfast, a high-fiber wrap with pesto, chicken, spinach for lunch, and salmon with a side vegetable for dinner are not expensive. Of course, there are many other delicious food choices.

Update January 2016: Almost every morning, I have a fruit smoothie (mixed frozen fruit, kale, chia/flax seeds, homemade kefir) the cost is about $3. In the Winter, frequently my lunch is soup. Cost: $2. You cannot eat at McDonald's for that ... and I do not.
