I recently read: The key to long-term weight loss and maintenance is to lose weight quickly, not gradually. Everyone wants fast results. However, if you are eating properly and exercising, you will lose weight. For health and weight loss, slow and steady will be the long-term winner.

Recently, I was involved in a conversation about weight-loss. One of the participants advised an overweight man (about 60 pounds) to take a year to lose the weight. I concur. Take your time, relax, enjoy the slow, but steady progress.
