Unless you are young and want to spend hours in the gym, my recommendation is to do strength training in a casual manner. Bottomline: Most older people want to be able to day-to-day things easily...their hobbies, play with grandchildren and other activities. For me, it's boating, hiking, shooting hoops, hanging out with my grandkids, and an occasional round of golf and set of tennis.
