46. If you are hungry, eat.

Have a snack. A healthy snack should be between 100 – 200 calories. If it has fiber or protein, it will provide the feeling of satiety. Put down that candy bar ... now!

For additional snack inspiration, Snack Girl provides a list of one-hundred, 100 Days of Real Food has 85 snack ideas, and Greatist provides 31 healthy snacks. While I don't approve of all of them, no doubt you will find many that are nutritious and delicious.

Over time, I have simplified my snack choices. For example, at all times, in my car is a jar of organic crunchy peanut butter. If I'm hungry, I just take a small spoonful of peanut butter. Every morning, it's my go-to snack on the way to the gym. Try it: You might like it. And, it's a lot cheaper than purchasing protein bars.
